Ring Sight

The Ring Sights have been getting some attention lately, and international sales are on the rise. I am in the process of producing a map documenting their distribution worldwide.

They were exhibited at Designersblock in one of the Selfridges windows as part of kith-kins Some Rights Reserved shop, and were sold in their Pop Up shop in Covent Garden.

The rings are still available in data format on kith-kins website alongside some really cool design work.

Le Name Festival

As well as design at Le Name Festival 2008 as part of there expo on peace 18th-27th september. www.lenamefestival.com

The piece was a variation and development of Type London, the font comprises of structures from New York, Moscow, Tokyo, Bombay and Mexico City. The numbers are symbols and objects relating to peace and violence, from the CND symbol to the atomic bomb they become part of the skyline. The Cities were chosen to mirror those depicted in the film Life In Loops which was also exhibited at Le Name. Life In Loops is a remix of the documentary Megacities by Michael Glawogger. Its a fantastic film with a great soundtrack by Sofa Surfers. www.lifeinloops.com

TO & FRO

Its been a while since anything has happened on the blog!
As part of the Deptford project, myself Oliver Bishop-Young & Katy Hogarth perhaps for the last time involved under the banner of "Goldsmiths" designed and made a Gaff for the London Design Festival. To & Fro in short is a rocking shed, at so many points during the build we had toyed with the idea of writing a title or sentence in Rockwell but (and probably for the best) it just never materialised .

Information about the deptford project can be found at www.thedeptfordproject.com.
There are some more images of our gaff on flickr aswellasdesign
